The Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion was created within the U.S. Department of Agriculture on December 1, 1994, and reports to the Office of the Under Secretary for Food, Nutrition, and Consumer Services. CNPP’s mission is to improve the health of Americans by developing and promoting dietary uidance that links scientific research to the nutrition needs of consumers.

Partnership for Prevention

Partnership for Prevention was founded in 1991 by leaders dedicated to making disease prevention and health promotion a national priority and America a healthier nation. Partnership seeks to increase understanding and use of clinical preventive services and population-based prevention to improve health.

National Prevention Council

A federal government Website managed by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services that provides information and resources to help you understand the health care laws under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

The American Dietetic Association

The ADA website serves the public by promoting optimal nutrition, health and well-being. ADA members are the nation's food and nutrition experts, translating the science of nutrition into practical solutions for healthy living.

The American Heart Association

The American Heart Association is a national voluntary health agency whose mission is to reduce disability and death from cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

Shape Up America

Shape up America! Is a not-for-profit organization committed to raising awareness of obesity as a health issue and to providing responsible information on healthy weight management.

My Plate

MyPlate was developed by Nutrition Policy and Promotion, an organization of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, as an effort to promote healthy eating to consumers. The MyPlate icon is easy to understand and it helps to promote messages based on the 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans. The new MyPlate icon, replaces the Food Pyramid guidelines and builds on a familiar image — a plate — and is accompanied by messages to encourage consumers to make healthy choices.

Wellness Council of America (WELCOA)

A national not-for-profit organization established in the mid 1980's through the efforts of a number of forward-thinking business and health leaders. WELCOA has become one of the most respected resources for workplace wellness in America. WELCOA is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of all working Americans.
